Tuning the Mazda 3 chip, or as Mazda fans say – “unleashing” the power!
Our customer, a certain Mr Č, came to us with his beautiful red Mazda 3 2.0 SKyActive-G with 120 hp (88 kW). Looking at the engine data, we find out that the identical engine also comes in a more powerful 165 hp (121 kW) version.
We carried out a professional software enhancement – chip tuning. In other words, we changed the software to the more powerful version used in G165 engines. In this case, a comprehensive optimisation of the software is involved. The adjustment itself is more than just modifying engine-maps, it’s necessary to overwrite values from a better software variant. This way, we can achieve the performance of 132 kW and 222 Nm torque.
And the good news spread like wildfire. The very next day, another customer, Mr V, came to us with the same request. After testing his upgraded beauty, Mr V sent us a very nice email. It was a pleasure to read. See for yourself:

Here, we’d like to answer some of our customers’ frequently asked questions about adjusting the engine-maps of this particular engine.
If I decide to go ahead and chip tune my car – what about the warranty?
There is no simple answer to this question. Every authorised retailer/service provider of Mazda vehicles has different warranty conditions. We always recommend contacting your car dealer. In our experience you might get different reactions even from the same car-dealer. Sometimes, they say you will lose your warranty coverage, other times you may just lose the car’s control unit warranty, and sometimes there is no issue at all. It’s also important to tell them which company is going to take care of your car. Quantum Tuning Czech Republic cooperates with many authorised retailers/service providers and is a recognised brand in the chip tuning world.
Cylinder test-room and measuring performance
All customers have the option to use our professional cylinder test-room, called MAHA. Unfortunately, for brake measurement, you currently have to come to Prague. Cylinder test-room is certified and is located on premises of an authorised Škoda retailer. The advantage is that the customer can remain with their vehicle throughout the measurement process and ask questions about the procedure. There are two measurements and a complex car diagnostics to be performed.
The fee for measurement performed in the cylinder test-room is 5,000 CZK.
