Dieselgate – Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen and Seat software downgrade

Those unlucky owners of vehicles manufactured by the VW Group, who had to undergo an ‘upgrade’ of their ECU software, can now see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Quantum Tuning is now offering a downgrade to a previous software version or any other software version that had been loaded into the car.

For a long time we’ve been listening to the complaints of those unlucky car owners, as after the forced overwrite their performance and fuel economy are much worse than previously. Whoever refused to undergo the forced re-flash of the ECU lost their warranty and their car was registered ineligible for general road traffic.

Which is why we are so thrilled to provide this offer to our customers. The time necessary for this modification is approx. 3 hours

How is the downgrade carried out?

• After the car arrives and comprehensive diagnostics are done, we connect to the ECU and load and read the current software number.
• Subsequently, we load and read the control unit update history and obtain a list of all the car’s software versions. We have access to a Volkswagen Group database for Skoda, Audi, Volkswagen, and Seat vehicles, then we proceed to install a previous software version into your car.
• The installation of older software versions is done in an exactly same way as in any authorised service – with a single difference: no authorised service provider can downgrade your software, they are not capable of such action.
